Japan Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. decided to invest 4.4 billion Japanese yen （about USD 53 million） to build a new tire plant near Delhi, Haryana, India. Covering an area of 100 thousand m2, with the annual tire production capacity of 700 thousand units, the tire plant is expected to be completed and put into production in July 2014, mainly producing radial tires for the saloon cars and light trucks.
