Objective To explore the sensitization of Docetaxel induced human gastric cancer SGC7901 cell growth inhibition in vivo and in vitro. Methods Human gastric cancer cells grown in culture dishes, colony forming experiment assay was used to investigate the cytotoxicity of the human gastric carcinoma cell line in vitro. Light microscopes and electron microscopy were employed to observe the changes in morphology of the cells treated with the drug, flow cytometry was applied to study the effects of the drugs on the cells cycle of the cell lines. Results Docetaxel could arrest the suspended gastric cancer cell to S phase respectively. Docetaxel significantly inhibited growth and proliferation of human gastric cancer cells in dose-dependent manner (P < 0.05).
