Objective To explore the effect of electronic case on the quality of medical record. Methods 1 997 electronic cases were chosen from January 2015 to December 2015 for research. And 1 863 paper medical records were chosen in the previous year of application of electronic patient record. Classified and analyzed all the quality defects, and compared the defect rate. Analyzed the causes and given the measures for improvement. Results The total defect rate of electronic patient record and that in department of surgery were obviously lower than paper medical records, there were signiifcant differences (P<0.05). In electronic patient record group, the defect rate of medical department, obstetrics and gynecology department, department of pediatrics and other department was also lower than that in paper medical records. But the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). There were 845 defects in 337 electronic patient records with quality defects. There were 703 content of defects and 142 mode of defects. The difference has statistical signiifcance (P<0.05). Conclusion Using electronic patient record is an efficient way for improving the quality of medical records. The management should be strengthened.%目的：探讨电子病历的应用对病案质量的影响。方法选择2015年1～12月我院1997份住院电子病历，选择电子病历实施前1年我院1863份住院纸质病历，由质控医师对所有病历质量缺陷进行归类统计，比较两组各科室病案质量缺陷率，分析其原因并提出改进对策。结果电子病历组病案质量总缺陷率与外科病案质量缺陷率明显低于纸质病历组，差异均有统计学意义（P＜0.05），电子病历组内科、妇产科、儿科及其他科室病案质量缺陷率均低于纸质病历组，但差异无统计学意义(P＞0.05)。337份质量缺陷电子病历共缺陷845例次，其中内容缺陷703例次，形式缺陷142例次，两者差异有统计学意义（P＜0.05）。结论应用电子病历可有效提高病案质量，但内容缺陷值得注意，应加强管理。
