Through infiltrating the cultural thoughts of other nations, cultural imperialism attempts to make them culturally colonized by western developed countries. Cultural imperialism not only involves the relationship between developed and developing countries, but also that between developed countries. Under the sweeping of globalization, the national cultural forms of some nations and regions in the world are being encroached on by certain others represented by American popular culture and industrial culture, with the American cultural standard serving increasingly as the measure of world culture. In the process of globalization, cultural products exported by the U.S. embody far beyond the apparent economic value. Rather, their control over ideologies, assimilation of life styles, and invasion of values and thinking modes are subtly affecting people ’s daily life and thus threatening the excellent traditional culture in other nations. Adhering to the road of Chinese cultural development, we should distinguish the promotion of excellent traditional Chinese culture from the seclusion of culture, establishing the precaution system of cultural security, in order to consolidate national cultural security, and to deal scientifically and timely with the challenges from cultural imperialism.%文化帝国主义试图通过对别国文化思想的渗透，将其变为西方发达国家的文化殖民地。文化帝国主义不仅涉及发达国家与发展中国家之间的关系，而且也涉及发达国家之间的关系。在全球化浪潮的席卷下，世界上一些国家和地区的民族文化形态，正被以美国的大众文化、工业文化为代表的文化形态蚕食，并以美国的文化标准作为衡量世界文化的标准。在全球化的过程中，美国输出的文化产品早已超越其表面的经济价值，其对意识形态的控制、生活方式的同化、价值观念和思维方式的入侵，已经慢慢影响其他国家民众的日常生活，并开始动摇其优秀的传统文化。坚持中国文化发展道路，要把弘扬本民族的优秀文化传统与文化闭关自守区别开来，建立文化安全预警系统，巩固国家文化安全，科学及时地应对文化帝国主义的挑战。
