双语教学是教育与国际接轨的桥梁，在高校的部分国际性通用专业课程运用双语教学，既提高学生的英语听说水平，又提高授课教师的英语应用的能力。使学生利用英语语言来掌握专业知识，熟悉英语的思维、求知和交流。我们必须正确理解双语教学的涵义，合理的将双语教学运用到田径课程中使其达到其教学目的。%Bilingual education serves as the bridge for China＇ s education to be in line with the international conventions. Adopting bilingual instruction in some universities for universal general courses will bring benefits to both teachers and students in terms of increasing the chances for students to be exposed to English as well as encouraging teachers to further improve their capacity in using English as the instruction language in teaching. Students will have a better chance to understand more about the language, the appropriate ways of thinking and communication in English. It is therefore of importance to understand the great significance of bilingual instruction in athletics teaching so that the original intention and objectives are better served.
