Based on an overall view of findings of prehistoric jades in Shaanxi ,the author puts out an understanding that the development of prehistoric jades industry in Shaanxi had experienced 3 different stages:first is the origination period,equal to Laoguantai Culture (7000 BP. );second is the initial development,lasting from 6800 to 4500 BP. , equal to Yangshao Culture and early Longshan Culture;third,equal to later Longshan,lasting from 4500 to 4000 BP., is the maximum period.
