莫里森笔下黑人母亲形象论析

摘要

Black mother is the major figure shaped in Toni Morrison′s novel. Under the influence of "double consciousness",the black mother experienced different life for her view of value,affecting her children and black folk. Morrison employed two kinds of mother,attempted to arouse those lost "black lambs" and pointed out current crisis that black culture was facing. Meanwhile,with her wise thoughts and unique horizon,she showed a path to solution of the crisis and the regaining of themselves-harmony of white and black cultures, which means the salvation of black mother as well as the inheritance of black culture. The image of black mother shaped by Morrison presents a way for all black society to rebuilding self-value and chasing political i-dentity.%黑人母亲是托尼·莫里森小说中主要刻画的人物形象。其作品中的黑人母亲在“双重意识”影响下，因个人的不同价值观导致了不同的命运，以至对子女乃至黑人同胞都产生了相应的影响。莫里森借两种不同类型的黑人母亲，试图唤醒这些早已迷失的“黑色羔羊”，并以冷峻的笔法指出黑人文化的现有危机，同时又以睿智的思想、独到的眼光为黑人母亲指出了一条化解危机、重拾自我的途径，即追求黑白文化的和谐，这不仅是对黑人母亲的救赎，同时也是对黑人文化传承的救赎。可以说莫里森塑造的黑人母亲形象，为整个黑人社会提供了重塑自我价值、找寻政治认可的途径。
