Advising practices in doctoral education from the perspective of disciplinary culture

摘要

This book,written by a Chinese scholar,Wang Dongfang,arguably presents a pioneering study of doctoral education advising practice from the perspective of academic disciplinary culture.Framed by a culture-action nexus rooted in Wissenssoziologie (sociology of knowledge),the study draws on the notion of culture as a core value,and focuses on ideas produced and abstracted from knowledge production actions which in turn function as a subjective initiative to maintain a social network of knowledge production.
