The purpose of this study was to examine the roles of acculturation and family relationships in predicting the career decision self-efficacy of Asian American college students. This study adapted social cognitive career theory for use with Asian Americans through incorporating relevant personal and contextual factors, to career self-efficacy such as sex, acculturation, enculturation, parental attachment, intergenerational conflict, and family functioning. The mediating effects of family relationships on the association between acculturation and career decision self-efficacy was also examined. Participants included 124 female, and 60 male Asian American undergraduate students who completed self-report surveys. The survey consisted of demographic and background information, the Asian American Multidimensional Acculturation Enculturation Scale (AAMAES), the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment -
