摘要

This project investigated whether teachers in higher education in Lebanon were using sufficient technology and following active-learning pedagogical strategies in the statistics classes in the Lebanese University. The project focused on the pedagogy practices in the statistics classrooms such as interactive discussions and group projects. Usage of technology in the class and the technological equipment integrated in the statistics course such as computer, Liquid Crystal Display projectors, Internet, Multimedia and calculators were investigated.;The findings of the project indicated the instructors did not use enough technological materials and active-learning pedagogical elements. The teachers and the students pointed to the lack of materials/tools in the University, and they indicated there have not been enough technological and pedagogical tools present in the Lebanese University to be used in the classroom to help make materials easier to understand, interesting, and less engaging resulting in students not able to absorb the information.;The researcher found the University lacked the presence of technological materials/tools and pedagogical elements to enhance the statistics class. The teachers wished they had more pedagogical knowledge and technological materials/tools to use in their teaching. The students desired more technology and active-learning pedagogical elements be used in their statistics classes to enhance learning outcomes.
