The use of social networks to promote Kentucky wineries.

Social networking has been rapidly growing due to the growth of Internet technology. Facebook has been currently the most popular social network with over 800 million users. Both individuals and corporations have been drawn to social networking, and social networking has changed the way people access information, share information, communicate, and interact. Communication has been an essential aspect of a business, and business can use social networking to communicate and interact with current and future customers. Businesses can also use social networking as a platform for free advertisement.;Kentucky wineries were researched to determine current use in social networking, networks involved, attitude towards social networking promoting their business, and how often the winery uses social networking. The information from the survey showed that the wineries find that using social networking promotes the business, and that the wineries have increased sales by using social networking as a marketing tool. Kentucky wineries involvement and attitude towards social networking not only has purpose for future wineries, but also current wineries that were not involved in social networking.
