A Marvelous Life:The Amazing Story of Stan Lee插入语翻译实践报告

摘要

本翻译实践文本选自丹尼·费杰罗斯为斯坦·李写的传记作品《斯坦·李的传奇故事》。文本中含有大量插入语成分，给读者带来了阅读障碍，也给译者造成了翻译困扰。而且，关于此类传记文本中插入语翻译的研究较少，因此本报告将以实践文本前三章文研究对象，探讨插入语的翻译。　　研究过程中，本报告首先对插入语的定义、分类、功能作了界定。报告将插入语定义为插入句中与句子无语法关联，通常以括号，逗号或破折号隔开作解释说明，旁白或事后想法的词、短语或句子。根据插入语功能，将其分为补充性插入语、强调性插入语、衔接性插入语、修饰性插入语。同时，报告还对英汉插入语差异以及用以标记插入语的符号进行了分析，由此总结出了四种可行的翻译方法：保留原文结构法、括号法、融合法、前置法。在由于英汉间语言差异造成损失之处，报告采用翻译补偿理论，运用增益、具体化、概括化等方法处理词汇方面的损失，运用转换时间副词、被动意义词以及复数意义词的方法解决语法方面的损失，最后运用添加逻辑连接词，转换人称指称的方法补偿语篇方面的缺损。　　通过此次翻译实践，笔者认为本文采用的方法和补偿理论对于插入语的翻译具有很强的指导作用，提高了本次翻译实践的质量，也希望此次研究可以为之后传记文本的插入语翻译提供新的思路。
