关联顺应模式下外交辞令的语用模糊研究——以中国外交部新闻发布会为例

摘要

模糊性是人类自然语言的内在属性之一，广泛运用于日常言语交际中。模糊的语言有助于我们委婉地表达真实意图，以免冒犯他人，这就产生了语用模糊。一直以来，语用模糊的研究取得了巨大进展，但是主要集中在小说、诗歌、戏剧和广告等领域，人们很少研究外交辞令中的语用模糊现象。誉为“建设性模糊”和“温和的委婉说辞”的外交语言是一种正式、保守、谨慎的说服性语言。因此，外交语言的独特之处在于讲究语言的委婉含蓄，礼貌得体。而语言的模糊性最能体现这一独特之处。
　　 外交语言的语用模糊现象的研究角度大多和合作原则、礼貌原则、面子理论和顺应论息息相关，很少研究是以关联顺应模式为理论框架。因此本论文旨在研究中国外交部新闻发布会中发言人有目的地使用一种交际策略“语言模糊”。
　　 本文以关联顺应模式为理论基础，以中国外交部新闻发布会的转写文本为语料，采取定性与定量相结合的方法分析外交辞令语用模糊的特点。因此本文首先介绍了语言模糊性和语用模糊性的相关研究，并予以评价，然后指出了文章的理论框架关联顺应模式，由于这一模式是建立在关联论和顺应论的基础上，因而有必要对这两个理论一一赘述。接着在文章的主体分析部分即第四章，分析关联顺应模式下外交辞令的语用模糊特点，在这一章中首先介绍了外交辞令的语用模糊特点，然后从词汇、句法和篇章三个层面分析模糊语的可变性，进而指出模糊语选择的顺应过程，模糊语的语用功能、以及其生成和理解机制。最后指出本文的研究不足和启示，使这一模式在外交辞令乃至其他领域得到更好地运用。
　　 本文的语料来源于中国外交部官方网站上外交部发言人答记者问的转写文本，自2011年10月1日到2012年11月30日，共有223场例行记者会，本文从中随机抽取80场，详细分析了17场，旨在揭示语用模糊的不同表达手法。
　　 而从关联顺应模式角度分析外交辞令语用模糊研究的语料来源多是美国白宫和英国白金汉宫的新闻发布会的转写文本，很少从中国外交部新闻发布会的转写文本中提取语料，因此本文在语料选择上也具有一定的新意。
　　 因此，语用模糊现象十分普遍，尤其在外交新闻发布会中被当作一种有意的交际策略。广泛运用于外交语言中的语用模糊有着重要的理论和实践意义。富有很强的可变性和顺应性，语用模糊现象是个贯穿于语言生成与理解的关联顺应动态过程。外交语言中的语用模糊现象应给予高度重视。希望本论文可以有助于人们更深层次的了解外交语言的特点，为关联顺应模式拓宽一定的应用空间。
