摘要

莫言小说《酒国》在西方社会获得的很高赞赏在一定程度上归功于英译者葛浩文。葛浩文对《酒国》的翻译从某种意义上来说是译者对原作的改写。改写理论的提出者勒菲弗尔指出,翻译是对原作品的改写,所有形式的改写,都反映了一定社会意识形态、诗学对译作的影响。由此可见,翻译过程中出现的创造性叛逆是显而易见的。
  本研究从勒菲弗尔的改写理论视角出发,试图分析译者葛浩文在英译《酒国》过程中的创造性叛逆。在细读原文的基础上,收集整理了译本The Republic of Wine中70个创造性叛逆翻译例子,从意识形态和诗学两个因素出发重点对其中25个文化负载词表达和修辞表达的创造性叛逆翻译进行分析,总结译者葛浩文在翻译过程中的创造性叛逆类型。意识形态下的文化负载词表达包括:社会文化负载词表达,语言文化负载词表达,历史文化负载词表达。诗学下的修辞表达涵盖:比喻,反复,对偶和设问。本研究根据谢天振教授提出的创造性叛逆类型以及对比分析原版小说和葛浩文《酒国》英译版的具体案例,得出葛浩文在《酒国》中的创造性叛逆翻译类型为:节译,编译,个性化翻译和误译,其中最主要的创造性叛逆翻译类型为节译和编译。综合分析,葛浩文的创造性叛逆翻译促进了《酒国》在西方社会的进一步传播。
