《开明英文读本》与人教版《（新目标）英语》文化对比研究

摘要

文化是外语教学的重要内容和有机组成部分。关注东西方文化、培养学生的文化意识也早已成为众多学者和外语教师的共识。《英语课程标准》也要求学生了解文化差异，培养爱国主义精神，增强世界意识。文化意识的培养离不开对东西方文化的了解和掌握。语言与文化有着密不可分的关系，本国文化的学习与外语学习关系也十分密切。英语学习中存在着许多跨文化交际的因素，英汉语言文化也存在着诸多的差异。这些因素和差异的存在，很大程度上影响着英语的学习和使用，因此教材中的东西方文化元素直接影响着英语学习的效果。关注教材中东西方文化元素，不仅可以提高学习者鉴别、鉴赏异国文化的能力，而且也能提高其对本国文化的敏感性并加深对本国文化的理解与认识，进而培养其爱国主义精神。作为外语教学的载体，教科书中东西方文化的含量与质量直接关系到外语教学的效果，因此基础教育阶段的外语教科书中的东西方文化元素就更加值得研究。
　　本文从文化角度通过对《（新目标）英语》和《开明英文读本》进行对比，对两套教材中东西方文化内容、文化导入模式以及教材外显的文化特征进行比较研究，并根据对比的结果探寻如何把东西方文化融入到英语教科书中。
　　本研究主要采用对比法和文献法进行分析。首先以文献综述的方式归纳、阐释本研究的理论依据和国内外研究情况，再运用比较研究法和语言研究中常用的文本分析法对《（新目标）英语》和《开明英文读本》进行比较，并归纳比较结果总结两套教材各自的文化特色，对目前初中英语教材中如何融入东西方文化的问题给出意见和建议，并探究林语堂文化融合的教学思想对现代初中英语教育的启示，从而为我国现代外语教材的编写和基础外语教育的发展、改革提供现实的借鉴。
