英汉翻译中语篇连贯的重建——试析杨必译作《名利场》的翻译

摘要

翻译是一门跨学科的学科,语言学与翻译的联系更是尤为紧密。二十世纪六十年代以来,篇章语言学兴起,为翻译研究提供了全新的视角。从语篇分析的角度研究翻译,就是把语篇作为翻译单位,通过对语篇参数和特征的分析,从语境和交际的范畴来阐释翻译研究和实践的操作。语篇最为核心的基本特征即是语篇的连贯性,因此本文就在此基础上,对英汉翻译中语篇连贯的实现展开应用性研究。
　　 自1976年韩礼德和哈桑发表《英语中的衔接》一书始,国内外学者就纷纷开始从不同的角度和层次对连贯展开了研究。本文在前人研究的基础上,通过总结、借鉴,尝试着建立一语篇连贯的模型,通过分析和比较英汉篇章连贯的不同表现形式,对英汉翻译中语篇连贯的实现做了概要分析,并且本文以杨必名译《名利场》为例,对篇章连贯在翻译中的重建做出较为仔细与全面的分析。通过以上分析,本文得出的结论为,篇章连贯不仅可以指导翻译过程,决定翻译策略的选择,而且也是一评估翻译质量的有效标准。
