顺应论视角下时政新闻英译研究——以《中国日报》和《新华网》时政新闻为例

摘要

新闻是信息的载体，新闻翻译在信息的传播以及国际交流中发挥着重要的作用。时政新闻是指当下发生的、与时事政治有关的新闻;它既包括国家政策和外交文件，也包括相关的政治活动。时政新闻的翻译涉及到国家的政治形象和国家政策的对外传播，其作用不言而喻。时政新闻有其自身独特的特点;中英两种语言之间也存在很大差异。在时政新闻的翻译过程中，不仅要考虑中英两种语言的语言特点，还要考虑文化差异和社会历史背景。以往对时政新闻的研究往往侧重于其语体特征和翻译策略，在理论指导上还不够全面。
　　本文以维索尔伦的顺应论为理论基础，从交际语境顺应和结构顺应两个方面探讨了时政新闻的翻译。维索尔伦认为，语言顺应是一个不断选择的过程。顺应性是语言的特性。交际语境顺应主要从心理世界、社会世界和物理世界三个角度进行研究。对心理世界的顺应包括对英语接受者审美和情感的顺应。对社会世界的顺应包括文化顺应和社会制度的顺应。物理世界的顺应主要是从时间和空间两个维度进行的。结构顺应从词汇和句子两个层面展开。
　　对《中国日报》与《新华网》大量时政新闻译本进行研究表明，译者在时政新闻翻译过程中，应在交际语境及语言结构两个方面进行顺应通变，成功实现跨文化交际。
