摘要

我国的十二五规划中明确提出了要加快教育改革发展,深化教育教学改革,推动教育事业科学发展。而随着我国改革开放的进一步深入和经济全球化的进程逐渐加快,我国的对外交往日益频繁,社会对高素质人才的外语水平必将提出更高的要求。大学作为高素质人才的主要培养基地和输出关口,大学英语的教学水平就显得尤为重要。
  大学英语的教学改革的前提是找准改革的切入点即教学的目的正是为了培养出满足社会需要的人才。在现代英语教学过程中,意识到需求的存在和需求分析的重要性已得到广泛的认可。全面的需求分析应该包括学生的需求以及社会的需求。而学生需求和社会需求很可能产生需求矛盾。这一问题已开始引起广泛关注。大学英语教学改革要解决的问题正是学生需求和社会需求之间的需求矛盾在教学各个环节的表现。
  需求分析涉及到为了解决问题而先了解具体问题的一个过程。基于“需求分析”的理论和以需求矛盾为内容的调查研究,本文作者试图通过问卷调查和分析来考察需求矛盾对教学改革的影响。通过需求分析,了解学生期望达到的英语能力,了解社会对所需人才的英语能力的要求,结合大学英语的现状,对大学英语教学中存在的需求矛盾加以分析进而调整我们的教学策略和教学模式以及考核手段,从而达到理想的教学效果,满足各方的需求。研究结果表明,需求矛盾的存在会影响学习者的学习需求的满足和社会对英语人才的需求。而这种矛盾可以通过以需求为导向的课程和考核模式的教学改革得到缓解和控制。最终形成学生需求,教学效果和社会对人才需求的良性循环的动态发展模式。
