翻译研究的文化转向及其对中国翻译研究的启示

摘要

翻译研究的文化转向随着国际人文学术界的文化转向的大潮，从上个世纪九十年代开始影响到我国的翻译研究。在文化转向的推动下，我国的翻译研究取得了长足的进步。与此同时，也有许多问题困扰着中国翻译界。如何来正确认识翻译的文化转向?它是否是将来翻译研究的发展方向?如何处理翻译研究的文化路向与语言学路向的关系?如何处理中国传统翻译理论与引进的西方翻译理论的关系?这些问题引起了很多学者的反思。为了弄清这些问题，首先应当对文化转向的来龙去脉，产生的原因和可能的趋势有一个全面的认识和理解，然后寻找这些问题的答案。这就是本研究试图努力去做的工作。作者希望，这一研究会对中国翻译研究发展提供有益启示。 论文共包括四个部分： 第一章简要介绍了西方以及中国翻译研究文化转向的概况，列举了困扰中国翻译研究的一些问题，并指出只有通过对文化转向内在原因的深入分析，才能正确认识这个转向，并找出解决问题的办法。 第二章和第三章是本文的主体。第二章分别考察了文化转向的哲学基础、方法论基础、直接原因、时代背景、以及其它一些推动力量。 第三章在第二章对文化转向原因分析的基础上，得出了一些对中国翻译研究的启示。这些启示包括： 1.翻译研究的文化转向是历史的必然 2.翻译研究的文化路向与语言学路向之间应该是共同发展，取长补短的关系，二者的结合才构成了完整的翻译学。同时也指出共同发展不是同时发展，在不同的时间，翻译研究的侧重点会有所不同。 3.学科意识和建立独立的翻译学的重要性。 4.怀疑、反思与创新的精神。中国的翻译研究虽然取得了长足进步，但是目前基本还处于一种拿来主义的状态，或者试图将西方的新的翻译理论用于中国翻译的实践，缺乏的是自己的理论创新。作者指出不论对中国传统译论还是引进的西方翻译理论，都要进行反思，并在中文翻译实践的基础上，将二者结合并进行创新。 5.实现研究方法的转变。在文化转向的帮助下，应该拓宽视野，实现研究方法的多元化。 6.在全球化浪潮下，要改变翻译理论与实践中引进和输出不平衡的状况，加强中译外工作。 第四章是本文的结尾部分。
