英语幽默的认知语用探究及其在教学中的应用

摘要

幽默作为人类生活中一种有趣的现象，几乎无处不在。它内容丰富，形式多样，并且起着各种各样的作用。关于幽默的研究最早可追溯至柏拉图、亚里士多德、西塞罗等著名哲学家，后来文学评论家们也开始涉足。最近幽默的研究已经涉及到心理学、社会学、生理学、美学、人类学等众多学科领域。在语言学领域，学者们很早以前也开始了研究，但是直到二十世纪七十年代，该领域的研究才在众多重要研究领域之中占有一席之地。幽默如此复杂，因此尽管有大量丰富的理论，但是仅提出一个较满意的定义就已经十分困难，更不必说其它方面。本文研究对象仅限于幽默言语，幽默短句，以及幽默笑话。作者试图在关联理论和概念整合理论框架下，结合社会与文化因素，从认知语用的角度，研究幽默的产生、理解与赏析的全过程并且探讨在教学中的应用问题。
　　本文共分为五章。引言部分，主要勾勒出整篇论文的全貌，论述研究的动机，目标，方法，资料收集，以及论文的大纲。
　　第一章是文献综述。为了便于研究，作者首先综合各类定义之长提出了自己的定义，即“幽默是由制造者有意或无意中说出或写出的被读者或听者认为可笑或有趣并且能得到愉悦的语言”。接着对比、分析和区分了幽默和一些与其相关概念的异同，并且介绍了三大古典幽默理论以及幽默的语言学理论，最后总结了语用学领域对幽默的研究并指出了其中存在的问题，进而阐述了本文采用关联理论与概念整合理论的缘由。
　　第二章阐释关联理论与幽默。作者简要回顾了关联理论，并分析了关联与交际的关系，其后在关联理论框架之下对幽默现象进行了探索，发现关联理论对幽默具有强大的解释力，但仅靠关联理论不足以解释幽默的制造与欣赏的全过程。需要的是一个能够揭示幽默欣赏与交际中实际心理操作并且演示具体步骤的理论对关联理论进行补充。
　　第三章是对概念整合理论与幽默的讨论。首先是对概念整合理论的简要回顾，然后是这一理论对幽默现象解释的示范，最后是对该理论的批评分析。作者发现概念整合理论与关联理论各有优劣，应该相互补充。
