正镶白旗第二中学英语词汇教学现状调查分析

摘要

学习英语，词汇是必备条件，它贯穿了整个语言学习的过程，一定的词汇量是顺利进行听、说、读、写、译等语言交流的基础，因而词汇教学的重要性不言而喻。我所在的学校是一所普通完全中学，近年来学生流失严重，导致生源极差，在实际教学中，经常听到教师们抱怨学生不用功，不好好背单词，学生们也觉得自己词汇量不够用，怎样改变目前现状是当前我校教师面临的主要问题。
　　本文在研究相关文献的基础上，对锡林郭勒盟正镶白旗第二中学的全体英语教师和部分学生进行了问卷调查和访谈，调查涉及以下内容;词汇教学观念、词汇教学时机的选择;十种常用词汇教学方法的使用率;词汇的掌握和词汇教学内容;词汇教学中存在的问题，以及学生在词汇学习中一些常用方法的使用率等。通过对调查问卷的数据进行整理和分析，发现目前我校英语词汇教学现状是:
　　1.教师们普遍对词汇教学理论只是有所了解，但是缺乏系统的学习，多数教师的起始学历低，虽然后来通过函授提高了学历层次，但其业务素质、外语语言能力、英语教学能力较弱，学历与实际教学能力或水平差距还是很大。新课改后，教师不能将新课程标准的教学理念得到真正内化，不能将教学理念转化为实际的教学行为。
　　2.学生对待英语学习态度不端正，学习消极被动，给教师的实际教学带来很多困难，而教师对学困生帮助不够，由于教师的放弃导致学生对英语失去兴趣，最终放弃英语。
　　3.十种词汇教学法，除了直观教学法、词块法、话题法和交际化法使用率不高，其它诸如一诃为中心法、语境法、联想法、构词法规律教学法和音形义结合法使用都比较广泛，其中使用率最高的是音形义结合法，但在实施过程中教师普遍重视词义和用法而忽略语音的教学。在词汇教学的过程中，教师还是过分注重语言的输入，忽视产出和过分注重学得的教学，忽视习得的方法。应试教育倾向严重，教学方法死板，采用的教学形式单一，没有真正确立学生的主体地位，在教学中不能够从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发。
　　4.词汇教学内容多，影响学生掌握词汇。而教师缺乏对词汇学习的正确认识，在词汇的教学中缺少词汇学习的策略和技巧的传授，使得大多数学生只会用死记硬背的方法来学习和记忆词汇，由于新教材词汇量大，学生又不掌握一定的词汇学习策略和技巧，当然就不能过词汇学习这一关，因而，恐惧单词、惧怕学习英语的心理就会在学生中蔓延。
　　为了克服这些问题，教师要深刻领会新课标中词汇教学的理念，完善教学内容，注重策略的传授，并要全面了解学生，采用多种教学方法和手段以提高英语词汇的教学效果。
