摘要

随着教学与教育由以教师为中心向以学生为中心转变,人们越来越关注个体差异对外语学习的影响。但是在以往的有关个体差异的研究中,性格这个变量往往被忽视。即便是在一些专门研究性格与外语学习的文献中也没能得出确切的结论。外向型性格有助于外语学习越来越遇到质疑。 本研究采用了问卷法和访谈法,通过定量研究,尝试找到性格与外语学习之间的理论关系…内向型性格有利于外语学习,通常是内向的人居于最高成就者之列。这一结果的形成有着多方面的原因:其中外向/内向性格的自身学习特点,中国现有的外语学习环境,现行的外语教学方法以及中国文化的潜在影响是主要原因。 本研究的现实意义在于它为如何区别对待不同个性的人提供了具体可行的教学方法,提升外语教师以及学习者的性格意识,使不同的人采用相对适合自己的方法,从而改进未来的外语教学。
