In this article, we discuss the common principles for modern font design, which are the common characteristics of design, as well as the versatihtv and uniqueness in modern font design, which are the individual characteristics of design. We also discuss to what extent modern font design should adhere to common principles as well as pursue versatility and uniqueness. Through several examples, we demonstrate modernfont design should emboty both the common and the individual characteristics, and we provide new valuablereferences for improvement of modern font design.
