摘要

长期以来,中国的英语教学一直被以老师为中心、以书本为中心和以语法翻译法为主的教学方法所主导,并且一直强调死记硬背。随着中国经济的飞速发展和进一步的对外开放,传统的英语教学法已远远不能满足学生的要求及适应我国经济的进一步发展。但是,自从二十世纪九十年代交际教学法被引入我国以来,单一地使用交际教学法地英语教学模式却没有取得预想的效果。
   为了找到较为适合中国中学生学习英语的方法,本文在第二章首先对传统英语教学法的特点及不足进行了分析;探讨了构成交际教学法的基本原则和理论,并系统地比较和分析了两种课堂教学方法。接着在第三章列举了我国长期运用的传统教学法的方式、方法及所表现出的特征,及对我国中学英语教学所造成的影响。
   在第四章,本文采用问卷调查的形式对本溪市的三所中学的218名学生和25名教师进行了调查咨询,依据调查结果及分析,发现影响交际教学法在我国特定的教学环境中有效实施的五个主要原因。
   本文在第五章提出了目前适合我国中学生学习英语的方法:即把传统的英语教学法和现代交际教学法结合起来。并列举了一些作者在教学实践中使用的、行之有效的具体的教学方法,即使用综合了交际教学法、语法教学法和听说教学法特点的3P课堂教学模式。
