从语言顺应到交际顺应——非言语交际的顺应论视角研究

摘要

Verschueren在Understanding Pragmatics(1999)中首次提出语用综观的概念，同时明确表示语言使用即是一种选择并且具有顺应的本质特点。在此基础上，Verschueren提出语言顺应论。但是，人类交际行为并非单纯通过语言实现，非言语行为在交际过程中同样起到重要作用。那么，非言语交际是否也同语言交际一样具有顺应的本质呢?对此，Verschueren并没有在Understanding Pragmatics中进行明确的阐释。近年来，非言语交际研究广泛开展，硕博论文中以非言语交际为研究对象更比比皆是。然而，尽管非言语交际研究者众多，但大多数着力于对非言语的界定、分类、对比及应用的研究，多为某部分的、着眼于教学的、经验性的、浅层次的语言现象的对比。从语用学角度对非言语交际进行研究并不多见。
　　 本文以顺应论为理论基础，在传统对非言语交际的特点及分类研究基础上，深入研究非言语交际的顺应本质。在此基础上，进一步完善Verschueren的顺应理论，将非言语交际纳入顺应论的理论框架，并尝试性提出交际顺应论的概念。这也是从顺应论角度对非言语交际进行专门研究的第一次尝试。本文的主要研究问题包括：什么才是完整的顺应论?完整的顺应论除了包含语言行为的顺应，为什么还要包含非言语的顺应?以及非言语交际怎样纳入顺应论的理论框架?即本文尝试从语用学(顺应论)角度对非言语交际的顺应本质进行深入的分析和探讨，进一步提出交际顺应论这个新的模式。首先，明确提出非言语交际同语言交际一样，也是交际者选择的结果。其次，非言语交际行为是对交际语境(即心理世界、社交世界和物理世界)的顺应；同时指出在交际过程中，非言语行为的选择受交际者不同的意识程度影响，即体现非言语交际行为的动态顺应，最后提出完整的顺应论应该是包含非言语行为的交际顺应论。
