大学英语四级词汇在轮机英语的语篇覆盖率

摘要

本论文基于一个一百万字的轮机英语语料库，主要研究以下问题： 1.大学英语四级词汇在轮机英语中的单篇覆盖率，在四个分语料库的单篇覆盖率以及总覆盖率。 2.轮机英语语料库中的高频词，以及这些高频词和四级词汇的相关性。 3.对未覆盖且又高频出现的单词，经科学筛选，初步制定一个轮机英语词表，补充到四级词汇中。 4.分析轮机英语词汇的一些特点。 研究结果表明，四级词汇在轮机英语中的语篇覆盖率呈正态分布，平均值为84％，最大值为94.5％，最小值为66.5％。四级词汇覆盖轮机英语语料库的绝大部分，占语料库形符总数的87.2％，对轮机英语阅读至关重要，但不足以达到95％的单篇覆盖率。新补充的轮机英语词表可以使轮机英语的平均单篇覆盖率提高到95.6％。轮机英语具有科技英语的特点，有很多专业词汇。缩写，数字，符号，频繁出现。此论文也为日后建立更正式的轮机英语词表做一个实验性的研究。
