《江苏年鉴2016》第14、15章英译项目报告

摘要

本文是一篇汉译英项目报告，翻译项目的原文选自《江苏年鉴2016》第14章科学技术和第15章教育的前半部分。《江苏年鉴2016》全面系统地反映了江苏省2015年的社会发展情况以及在经济、农业、外贸、科技、教育、文化和社会保障等方面所取得的一系列成就。在国家全面深化改革和“一带一路”建设的大背景下，作为东部沿海大省，江苏与国际社会的接触和联系日益密切，《江苏年鉴》便成为外国人全方位了解江苏的一个重要窗口，因此其英译工作就显得尤为必要。
　　在对文本特征分析的基础上，译者总结了在翻译过程中主要遇到的重点和难点，词汇层面主要包括数式缩略语、专业术语、和中国特色新词的翻译;句子层面涉及无主句和长难句等复杂句式的处理，以及在语篇层面如何使译本的衔接更加自然通顺等问题。本报告的重点亦在解决这些重难点问题。笔者通过此翻译项目的实践，系统总结了相关的翻译方法，旨在今后能为此类相关文本的翻译活动提供一些参考。
