《江苏年鉴2016》城乡发展部分英译项目报告

摘要

为了顺应江苏文化“走出去”的战略，江苏越来越重视地方志的翻译工作。自2012年起，江苏省地方志编纂委员会开始组织编纂《江苏年鉴》英文版。该项目报告基于笔者在《江苏年鉴2016》英译项目中的实践经历，其中翻译材料取自城乡发展一节。本报告介绍了项目的背景、内容、结构和意义，分析了源文本的文体特征，交代了委托方对翻译项目的要求，并记录了译前、译中和译后三阶段。结合具体的翻译实践，本报告主要探讨了缩略语、排比结构和汉语长难句三方面的难点，在目的论翻译原则的指导下对难点进行了案例分析，在翻译时通过直译加注法、合译法和释义法兼顾缩略语的形式与含义，采用顺译法、省译法和词类转译法处理独立成句或充当修饰成分的排比结构，并运用顺译法、分译法和逆译法对汉语长难句进行调整或重组。最后结合自己的所思所得提出建议。希望能对《江苏年鉴》英文版的编纂起到一些借鉴作用。
