摘要

美术文献,作为美术研究的副产品,无法轻易归入传统的几大文本类型:从风格来看,它既不完全属于文学文本,也不完全属于非文学文本;从文本功能来看,它主要属于表达型文本,但同时兼具信息型文本和呼唤型文本的特点。
  文本类型的复杂性为其翻译增加了难度,使这一少有人涉足的翻译领域表现出一定的混乱。就方法论而言,国内翻译圈就这一领域论述甚少;就翻译实践而言,在市场经济的影响下,一方面不再有博学之士专门投身于美术文献翻译事业,出版社很难找到既精通语言又有美术造诣的译者;另一方面,出版社为降低成本采用二流译者也是常有之事,导致美术文献翻译水平不高。
  本文基于《美术教学指南》的翻译,尝试从理论性、文学性、实用性三方面对美术文献做出文本分析,并分别从三方面分析、解决翻译中遇到的问题。本文的目的是为作为国内翻译界薄弱环节的美术文献翻译带来一些思考和启迪,但在此过程中,也针对一切翻译提出了超越所有方法论的领悟。
