尚恩·菲南自传My Side of Life 翻译实践报告

摘要

随着中外文化交流日益频繁，自传翻译成为了一种常见的翻译题材。2014年10月，原西城男孩组合主唱尚恩·菲南发行了个人自传《我的人生》（My Side of Life）。该书讲述了尚恩有趣的童年生活经历，西城男孩组合创建、走红到解散的精彩故事，以及尚恩痛苦的破产经历和新开启的个人歌唱事业。
　　本翻译实践报告所选文本取自《我的人生》的第一章和第二章，译文约两万字。全文本语言难度适中，长难句较少，口语化特色突出。根据纽马克的文本类型理论，该自传属于表达型文本，翻译时应以语义翻译为主。然而，笔者在翻译过程中还发现该文本兼具信息功能和呼唤功能，因此在某些词句的翻译上也应采用交际翻译。在语义翻译理论的指导下，笔者主要采用直译翻译一些修辞句和长难句，再现原作风格。而在交际翻译理论的指导下，一方面，笔者采用阐释、加注等方法处理文化负载词的翻译，传播词语所富含的文化信息。另一方面，笔者采用意译、阐释、替换、延伸等方法应对俚语和习语的翻译，使译文更加通畅易懂，更符合目的语读者的阅读习惯。
　　通过本次翻译实践，笔者希望能再现原文风格，为读者呈现一个真实的尚恩·菲南。此外，笔者探讨了在纽马克翻译理论指导下的词语、句子和修辞的翻译技巧，这对自传翻译具有一定的借鉴意义。
