学术写作中“抄袭”的认知、态度及原因——一项对英语专业本科生与研究生的对比研究

摘要

近年来，“抄袭”深受国内外学者的广泛关注，而国内本土语境下的二语习得领域对“抄袭”的研究少之又少，同时老师和学生以及整个社会都深受论文抄袭的困扰。为了了解学生对抄袭界限的理解、对抄袭的态度及其所认为造成抄袭的原因，本文采用问卷调查法、文本分析和访谈相结合的方法，采用定量数据和定性数据相结合的分析方法，调查了英语专业学生的抄袭认知、态度和原因。研究通过对82名英语专业学生的问卷调查、16份文本材料的评分和评分理由以及6位同学的访谈，以找出英语专业本科生和研究生在抄袭认知、态度和原因上的认识，并尝试发现两者是否存在显著差异，以期对二语学术写作教学提供一定的帮助。
　　研究结果表明，英语专业学生能够较好地识别、判断出抄袭行为，对抄袭的定义和界限有着较好的理解，而在引用知识的判断上，研究生的判断水平明显高于本科生。且学生的语言水平越高，越能准确判断出错引策略为抄袭。在抄袭态度上，两者态度都比较暧昧，他们既不赞成严惩措施，也不支持温和措施。通过后期访谈得知，学生更倾向于老师通过学术写作教学来引导学生进行论文写作来预防抄袭，而非一味地惩罚抄袭。在抄袭原因上，学生还指出教学质量不高和论文指导、批改不充分以及大的社会环境也会造成抄袭。然而，本科生更倾向于将抄袭归结于“不引原因”和“情感原因”等外因，与研究生的认识存在显著差异。并且，学生的语言水平越高，就越不认同量表中的情感原因和不引原因。另外，在情感原因上，还出现了显著的性别差异。造成研究生和本科生差异的根本原因是本科生和研究生不同的学习内容和学术背景。引用能力和学术写作能力是知识积累的过程，是可以通过不断学习来加以提升的，研究生由于学习年限较长，学术经验较为丰富，对抄袭中的“引用知识”有着更好的理解。而“情感原因”上的性别差异则是由男女比例严重失衡所致，英语系女生远远多过男生，同辈压力更大，更加关注“面子”和“高分”。
　　文章建议增设英语学术写作课程，并依据本科生和研究生的不同学术目标教授不同的内容。入门者如本科生应该对抄袭的界限、引用规则以及写作规范等知识有所了解，其研究兴趣应该被启发。而对于高水平学习者研究生来说，除了基本的引用知识和写作规范，还应该教授学生科研方法，以研讨会的方式将理论学习与科研实践相结合。同时给予学生充分的指导，并建立良好的批改机制和反馈机制。
