The Voicing Values in Discussion Section of Medical Research Paper

摘要

语言的一个基本功能是人际功能，即使是最具客观性的语言本身也充满了人际意义，它反映了语篇中各种观点或立场之间互动和协商的过程。
　　 英语医学研究论文是世界范围内医学科研工作者的一个重要的信息来源和交流渠道。讨论部分是医学研究论文的重要组成部分，医学科研工作者通常在讨论部分阐明自己的最新研究成果，并希望以此与国内外同行进行交流。
　　 本文的研究目的是探讨分析英语医学研究论文中讨论部分的多声性特点及其如何表达人际意义。本文基于巴赫金(1986)的对话性和互文性理论及马丁和怀特(2005)的评价理论中的介入系统，借鉴Hood(2004)提出的学术语篇中存在的三种声音，采用定量与定性相结合的研究方法。根据上述理论基础，本文提出了相应的分析框架，即讨论部分的人际意义是通过其多声性特点实现，而讨论部分的多声性特点又是通过介入系统中的词汇语法资源实现。
　　 在对随机选取SCI收录的医学期刊中的50篇英语医学研究论文的讨论部分进行定量分析后，我们发现作者经常运用的五种介入资源，分别是否定(deny)，反对(counter)，认可(endorse)，接纳(entertain)和归属(attribute)。其中接纳(entertain)所占比例最大，其次是认可(endorse)。在对一篇英语医学研究论文的讨论部分进行定性分析中，我们分析了医学研究论文中讨论部分的三种“声音”即观察者声音(observervoice)，研究者声音(investigatorvoice)和评论者声音(criticvoice)及它们的分布。其中代表作者本身的内部“声音”-评论者声音(criticvoice)在三种声音资源中分布最广。在对于讨论部分的多声资源如何实现人际意义的研究中，我们提出了作者联合读者的策略。作者运用声明(declare)，批准(authorise)和支持(support)联合读者支持自己的研究结果。而反对（problematise)和否定(negation)用于排除研究中可能出现的错误观点和倾向。
　　 本文揭示了英语医学研究论文的讨论部分的多声性特点，研究结果有助于医学科研工作者，特别是有助于英语医学研究论文作者更好地理解本领域中英语医学研究论文讨论部分的多声性特点及其实现的人际意义，从而写出更具说服力的英语医学研究论文。
