《孙子兵法》两英译本中译者主体性比较研究

摘要

由于不同的译者具有不同的人生阅历、学术功底以及个人价值观，译者在翻译作品时往往会往译本中注入更多的译者主体性及创造性从而使自家译本得到公众的广泛关注。随着“文化转向”的出现，西方学者将翻译注意力由语言层面开始转向文化层面，译者的地位也逐渐转向“显形”，译者重要性得到稳步提升。《孙子兵法》作为中国古典文化的瑰宝，是现存影响最为深远且最为古老的军事著作。《孙子兵法》思想高深富赡、语言抽象严谨，这使得翻译家们难免对书中相同的文字会有各自独到的见解，从而产生众多英译本流传于世，毋庸置疑这也反映出译者极大的主体性。本文将从阐释学角度对中外著名翻译家林戊荪和贾尔斯的《孙子兵法》英译本进行译者主体性比较研究。研究范畴主要包括比较两位译者翻译的前期准备，翻译过程中的语言及文化处理，以及翻译策略的选择这三个方面的译者主体性，尝试揭示阐释学视角下译者主体性在中国古典文学《孙子兵法》不同英译译作中的体现，展现文学翻译的多样性，从而证明文学译作与译者主体性息息相关。
