The Application of Krashen's Monitor Model in English Reading Teaching

摘要

阅读作为一种重要的语言技能和学习知识的重要方式而备受重视。随着我国经济的发展，学生对于英语教学水平的要求也在不断提高。英语学习的输入主要来源于读和听两种途径，本实验以克拉申的输入理论和情感过滤假说为基础，通过课上和课外为学生提供大量的阅读材料来检测大量输入对学生阅读能力的影响。本实验的目的如下:(1)提高学生的阅读水平;(2)培养学生的阅读兴趣;(3)培养学生良好的学习习惯。本实验分为实验班和控制班，每班66名学生，都是医学专业的大一新生。均由作者担任英语老师。实验为一个学期，由作者提供给实验班学生大量的阅读材料，材料多种多样，题材各异，内容丰富，激发学生对阅读的兴趣。课上，作者通过各种教学手段来鼓励学生参与。通过前调查、后调查、前测和后测的手段来进行比对。为了更好的比对结果，前调查和后调查都是用同一调查表。为了实验的准确性，前测和后测均选用期末考试试卷。成绩使用学习教学系统的成绩分析软件进行分析。实验结果显示，实验班的阅读能力高于控制班。通过对学生的调查访问，发现实验班的学生学习信心有所提高，课上表现较积极。通过学习，实验班的同学认识到阅读的重要性和阅读量的大小的确影响他们的阅读水平，采取了更加积极的学习态度。实验结果表明，在学习过程中激发学生的学习动机，提高自信心，培养学生良好的学习习惯对于提高学生的阅读水平有较积极的影响。
