《丑陋的美国人》（节选）翻译实践报告

摘要

在这次翻译实践活动中，本文作者选取了美国作家本?麦兹里奇所著的《丑陋的美国人》（Ugly Americans）的前三章作为翻译实践的对象。该书讲述是毕业于普林斯顿大学的约翰·马尔科姆如何穿梭了大半个世界去实现他的美国梦，并且最终取得成功的故事。
　　在对翻译中出现的重点和难点进行总结的基础上，作者以交际翻译理论为指导，对特定名词、修辞手法和词义的扩展以及人物动作心理描写的翻译典型案例进行了分析，并在最后依照所总结的资料形成了本翻译实践报告。
　　通过对原文的翻译以及对翻译报告的撰写，发现在实际翻译当中，不仅要将原作者的意思全部翻译出来，还要保证所翻译的版本能够让读者理解和接受。在当今这个信息爆炸的后现代社会里，尽管这种翻译方法并不非常严谨，但实际的翻译经历可以证明，能够让读者享受文章、读懂文章的方法才是最实用的翻译方法。
