免费师范生大学英语课堂行为分析——基于与非师范生大学英语课堂行为的对比

摘要

作为我国规模最大的教育活动之一，大学公共英语教学一直受到学生和全社会的关注。自2007年我国实施免费师范教育政策以来，免费师范生成为近年来渐渐受到社会关注的一个特殊群体。本文从调查和对比分析免费师范生与非师范生课堂行为的不同之处着手，旨在找出并突出免费师范生的课堂表现、及学习动机等方面的特点，进一步分析造成这种课堂行为现状的原因，希望为中国语境下的大学英语教学，特别是免费师范生的大学英语教学提供一些启示。
　　 本研究的调查对象是来自西南地区某高校的两个班级的81名大二学生，其中，一个班级的学生是免费师范生，共36人，另一个班级的学生是非师范生，共45人，他们来自同一个学院，有同样的专业背景，执教的是同一个英语教师。本研究采用了定量研究和定性研究相结合的方式，主要通过问卷、访谈以及课堂观察等方式搜集数据。在问卷调查过程中，经过筛选，本次问卷调查所获得的有效数据来自其中的75名学生，其中，免费师范班学生34人，非师范班学生41人。采访对象是从36名免费师范生及45名非师范生中分别随机抽取五人进行。同时笔者对两个班级的学生进行了为期六周的课堂观察，从而获得了研究的第一手资料，最终整理为12份田野笔记，以供研究使用。
　　 经过问卷调查、课堂观察和访谈，免费师范生大学英语课堂行为表现如下:
　　 一，免费师范生除在学习取向方面得分明显低于非师范生外，在口头参与，争强好胜以及自我表露方面也得分较低。
　　 二，免费师范班的出勤率明显低于非师范班。
　　 三，免费师范生在课堂上比非师范生显得更被动，非师范生显得相对活跃一些。
　　 四，免费师范生课前准备工作与非师范生相比做得不是很好。
　　 最后，免费师范生和非师范生普遍语言表达能力特别是听说能力较差。
　　 经过分析笔者发现导致免费师范生课堂行为现状的原因是多方面的，主要包括:
　　 一，政策规定免费师范生毕业后将回到自己的家乡从教，将很少会用到英语。
　　 二，在课程设置上，没有专门针对免费师范生的教学要求与课程设置。
　　 三，针对免费师范生的评价体系不合理。
　　 本研究的结果对大学英语教学，特别是免费师范生的大学英语教学以及免费师范生政策的实施有一定的启示作用。
