A web mining approach for exploring collective knowledge about social informatics

摘要

We explored trends in social informatics hy using documents on the Internet. To clarify these trends, we analyzed the collected documents hy using the term relation frequency (TRF) method that we developed. The analysis revealed similarities and dissimilarities among documents that hierarchical clustering could not detect. Based on the collection and analysis results, we have attempted to supplement the digital commons on social informatics, and indicate promising areas of future study.
