Building requirements Repository Using Requirements Transformation Techniques to Support Requirements Reuse

Software reuse is introduced to increase software development process productivity, improve software quality and reduce development time and cost So applying the reuse techniques at the requirements engineering phase of the software development life cycle will help get complete and accurate requirements with less effort and time. The goal of this research is to develop an approach for building a conceptual requirements repository to support the requirements reuse process. It will focus on the requirements reuse as an important application of the software reuse process. First, the reuse definitions, benefits, costs, and some related issues will be discussed. Second, a discussion on some of the requirements transformation techniques will be presented. Finally, the last section will examine an approach to building the conceptual requirements repository, including a discussion about retrieving and verifying the requirements extracted from the conceptual requirements repository.
