Introduction to Informing Science

摘要

Management Information Systems is confronting an identity crisis. Its teaching and research does not fit well within the disciplines of business, informatics, or library science. This paper introduces the transdiscipline Informing Science as a means to understand this problem and to provide a solution. Informing Science encompasses those disciplines that endeavor to inform their clients using Information Technologies.
