摘要

The aim of this study is to propose the new simple seismic retrofit technique of existing R/C frame bysteel bracing frame or steel framed pre-cast R/C panel (hereafter, referred to as PC panel). According tothe test results, the following became clear. The conventional retrofit technique to connect steel bracingframe to the existing R/C frame by studs induced the shear failure of the existing R/C column in itsbottom region. The retrofit technique proposed in this research prevented the damage of existing R/Ccolumn, and showed the same strengthening effect as the conventional one did. The existing R/C frameand the PC panel behaved in monolithic manner until R=2.0%. The observed lateral load carrying capacityof specimens strengthened by the steel bracing frame was approximately 6 times of that of the existingR/C frame specimen. On the other hand, in the specimens strengthened by PC panel, the lateral loadcarrying capacity was 4 times or more of that of the prototype specimen.
