GUIDELINE FOR POST-EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE EVALUATION ANDREHABILITATION OF RC BUILDINGS IN JAPAN

摘要

This paper describes the basic concept of the Guideline for Post-earthquake Damage Evaluation andRehabilitation of RC Buildings in Japan. In this paper, (1) the damage rating procedure based on theresidual seismic capacity index consistent with the Japanese Standard for Seismic Evaluation of ExistingRC Buildings, (2) its validity through calibration with observed damage due to the 1995 Hyogoken-Nambu (Kobe) earthquake, and (3) the decision policy and criteria to determine necessary actionsconsidering earthquake intensity and damage, are mainly focused.
