摘要

Nondestructive techniques can be used for quality evaluation, sorting of fruits and vegetables, as well as for measurement of critical selection traits in plant breeding programs. Techniques based on near-infrared (NIR) measurements have been evaluated for the assessment of soluble solids (Brix) content of a number of fruits and vegetables. The techniques are becoming popular for measuring Brix of fruits and vegetables because products can be evaluated and sorted rapidly and inexpensively.
