In this paper disconnector switching has been investigated as the most important cause of electromagnetic interference radiation in high voltage substations. The simulation of this subject, in a 400 kV substation, has calculated flowing current through busbars and lines by ATP software. Flowing of this high frequency current through the radiating structures of busbars and lines, the electromagnetic fields will be produced in the vicinity of them.rnThen by using the Maxwell's equation, electric and magnetic field waveform, interference levels and frequency spectrum of them, due to opening and closing of the disconnectors in the substation, has been investigated on substation measuring equipments, control cables and electronic equipments.
