摘要

This paper presents the results of the research conducted at Deltares to estimate the forces on ships caused by densityrncurrents at a sea-lock. OpenFOAM calculations are compared with lock-exchange experiments and with static modelrntests, in which the geometry of a real-life lock and approach harbour and ship model were considered. The results of therncomparisons are discussed together with the feasibility of using OpenFOAM for this application.
