The system (1) has a strike plate (11) integrated to lateral roof elements of a retractable roof, and a lock pin (12) is mounted on a support (13) integrated to a front roof element (3). The lock pin is articulated between an unlocking position and a locking position, in which the pin exerts the locking force on the strike plate to move the lateral roof elements towards a covering position by supporting on a central roof element (6) and/or on the front roof element. The strike plate forms a positioning unit integrated to lateral roof elements.
