A Mobility Management Architecture for Fast Handover and Mobile Services

For the purpose of providing mobility services to mobile users in wireless environment, we need to consider terminal mobility and network mobility. For the terminal or host mobility, recent works has focused on Mobile IP. Mobile IPv4/IPv6 of IETF enables mobile node and mobile network to roam transparently in any network. But the original protocol of it is not proper for supporting micro mobility because of large latency and inefficient routing. So we propose the fast handover mechanism for Mobile IPv6. As for supporting network mobility, we discuss NEMO of IETF and its enhancement for the efficient routing.
