Abstract: The superconducting critical temperature Tc of Nb/CuMn multilayers has been measured in a series of samples with fixed Nb layer thickness (d$-CuMn$/) and varying CuMn layer thickness and vice versa, where the CuMn composition and the layer thicknesses were systematically varied. An oscillating behavior has been observed for Tc(d$-CuMn$/) strongly dependent on the Mn concentration values. Different explanations are discussed and the most plausible seems to rely on the presence of a d$-CuMn$/-dependent phase-shift value in the range (0, $pi@) between adjacent superconducting layers. !27
