According to a questionnaire to investigate the college English learning (CEL) state of thernundergraduates, the investigator found some learner’s problems from the collected data. Thernproblems expose that the college English class fails to provide students the strategy for practice inrnthe off-class CEL. The subjects spent less time for self-learning and practice because of the lack ofrnproper learning materials. By analyzing the phenomenon, it is suggested that the classroomrnteaching has to consider what learners need. A recipe and materials as its ingredients forrnlearner’s off-class practice should form a circling of interaction with the in-class teaching. Whenrnthe innovated in-class and off-class learning interact, it is possible for the CEL to have arnmuch-improved prospect.
