Risk evaluation of debris flow zone using rating and ranking method

摘要

In this research, a risk evaluation method for a probable debris flow zone by rating and rankingrnwas suggested. The method defines a drainage basin near a road as a target location for risk evaluation andrnevaluates the hazard of debris flow in the area and vulnerability of road due to debris flow by simple summationrnof values imposed on each contributing factors. The logistic regression analysis on the previous 46 casesrnof debris flow is used for determination of weight for each contributing factor. The risk rank of the target locationsrnis defined into 6 categories in terms of possibility of damage during rainfall.
