The paper presents the robust control synthesis of an electro-hydraulic servomechanism, destined to operate like a command stage for a large mechanohydraulic valve. On a linear mathematical model of the system, including a classical PD controller it was made the comparison between the simulated an experimental input channel step response. With two methods for the weights selection it was developed the Hinfinity optimal frequency synthesis, by means of the facilities offered by TOOLBOX ROBUST MATLAB.
